500 Subscribers
You know, considering what my viewership is here, versus on YouTube, it doesn’t really make much sense to post here. But hey, who said all of our decisions need to make sense?
If anything, I feel like this really the only documentary record of what this journey is actually like. Humans are notoriously bad at accurately recollecting events - even in their own lives.
Today’s milestone? 500 subscribers. Well, 501, now.
At 0 subscribers, 500 seemed impossible. Hell, even at 100 subs, 500 seemed like a wholly unrealistic goal. After all, how does one organically grow an audience for the content they like to make? I’ve heard it said that you can keep you can make the content you want, the way you want, but that you’ll likely toil in obscurity. The implication being that if you deviate the right way, in terms of the content, or your presentation of it, you may be successful.
Well, I’m too old for that, frankly.
I’m happy to sit in my debunking lane. The research is interesting. The writing is fun. The production is frustrating, due to my own limitations, but I’m getting the slightest bit better over time.
Thank you, the_one_empire, for the milestone subscription. And thanks to everyone else, too.
I hope there’s a time when I can’t remember what getting to 500 felt like - but at least I’ll have this post to remind me :)
