I’m a sellout?

“You’ve changed, B”

That’s really what I was thinking when I read a comment on a video, yesterday. The viewer let me know that he appreciated my old content, and not so much my newer stuff.

Two things:

  1. The content he liked? My Amazon Vine videos! I enjoyed making them, but I’m not sure how much more content I can create on the subject…

  2. I’ve been making content for less than a year. Do I even have “old” content, yet?

I replied to the comment, letting him know that he shouldn’t be fooled by the rocks that I got - I’m still Jenny from the block. Figuratively, of course.

It does highlight an interesting point - people became subscribers because of a piece of content that they saw. If it wasn’t representative of your content as a whole, you can’t be surprised if they move on.

Despite my interest in creating a wide range of content, I’ve really settled into the debunking thing. It’s not all I plan to do, but I think that it’s the most logical avenue for creating a cohesive body of work. After all, I do need a catalog of content that people can session watch.
