Do you want to make something?

As an engineer, I find that when I can’t find something I want, I typically make it instead.

I have no idea what most people do, but I suspect that they either settle for the closest thing they can find - or they give up.

The thing is that there’s an incredibly rich set of hardware and software tools available to solve more problems than ever. And the stuff is generally pretty cheap, too.

I dipped my toes in a little, with the Smart Speaker video.

Soon, I’ll be getting in a bit further, pushing people slightly out of their comfort zones (like I did with the Pi-hole video). I’ll make engineers out of some of you… I’m sure of it.
