I’m back (kind of)

For a few days now I’ve been oscillating between burning up and chills. Sometimes both, at once! Fun!

What I haven’t been doing is recording content. Don’t like my voice in the first place? You really wouldn’t like it expressively decorated with Covid. It does remind me, with it being the beginning of September, that I really need to get my butt to CVS for a flu shot, once I’m completely better.

I haven’t done too many Dad Explains episodes yet, but I’m cautiously optimistic about Dad Explains LED Lights. Yes, it meets the incredibly high sex appeal expectations set by Indoor Air Quality - lol. That is to say, none.

Still, it takes something that everyone uses, and understands to be an innovation (I would hope, anyway), and gives you just a little bit of physics (electron behavior through a semiconductor junction, emitting photons), a bit of history and a world-changing bit of engineering (Shuji Nakamura), and some solid advice around which LEDs are good - and which are junk.

I hope it does well. Topic polling indicates it may do well with subscribers. In general, I think education is more fun than debunking, so my fingers are crossed.
