Load a Raspberry Pi with Pi-hole and Unbound… in less than 20 minutes!

It’s out!

Yes, I understand that we’re not supposed to be speedrunning the installation of critical network services. Jeez.

However, I think I may have cracked the code here. A video tutorial, with a companion web page. You can copy and paste from the page, cutting down on time and entry errors. You can print the page, and use it as a checklist, and to write down information you may need later.

Kind of genius, I think.

Or not.

It’s my first tutorial. I think it’s good, but I’m not the one who ultimately is going to be the judge of that. Often misquoted is the Mike Tyson utterance: “Everybody has plans until they get hit for the first time”. A few people have already reported success with the tutorial, but we’ll see what the feedback looks like once there are more people sharing their experiences.

The video is at about 10k views, 18 hours in. That’s good performance for me. The 243 new subscribers is more surprising, as I expected that most of the people watching this video already subscribed from DNS filtering. People coming from recommended and search, perhaps? Dunno.
