Tonight, I bounce back?
I’m back, with Dad Ruins LifeLock & Identity Theft Protection Services.
Like AG1, it has a narrative hook at the beginning that I think is compelling. I’m not sure that I’m the right guy to try to weave storytelling into a debunk, but I’m giving it a shot. It’s 60 seconds, so it shouldn’t hurt too much.
It’s my second video with improved audio from a Shure MV7+, and my first video with it not being dragged down by my Covid. Now, people can just rip on my voice in the comments, and not my potato microphone. Yay? For anyone that complained about my vocal fry, this doesn’t fix that. That’s from me having to move more air through my vocal cords in order to speak after throat surgery several years back. More air for fewer words, means I’m out of air by the end of longer sentences. Sorry. At least I don’t sound like RFK Jr.
Next upgrade? Probably to move my editing on to an old 5800X machine I have. Why move to a slower machine? Mostly for the 64GB on that one. 32GB is killing me on my editing workstation. Maybe I’ll start producing to a higher resolution, like 2560x1440 (1440p). I’ve noticed that about half of my watch hours are on TVs! I can’t imagine most of those people are watching the screen (probably, more like background audio), but I can probably put in a bit more effort for a better than 1080p experience. Not exactly Deadpool’s maximum effort, but better than nothing.
So, I’m still a little bummed that more people didn’t watch Dad Explains LEDs, but hopefully (as Big Sean says) I’ll bounce back with dunking on LifeLock.
