You don’t have to like something just because it makes sense…
I really don’t want to seem ungrateful. Bossware has been successful beyond my wildest expectations.
At current count, it has 2740 views, 217 watch hours, 90 subscribers, and a 4:44 AVD. CTR, at 1.9% isn’t great, but that’s largely due to the 69.3k impressions - which is the largest positioning I’ve ever had.
The thing that’s killing me at the moment, is that I’ve released two videos that YouTube won’t show to wider audiences, because it’s still showing Bossware.
Yes, Essential Oils and Red Light Therapy are pretty much unwatched. The thing that stings is that they’re probably better than Bossware. No, they shouldn’t have nearly the same performance, as they don’t have the same appeal - but they are better written and better produced.
The problem is that I was doing what YouTube says they value… pushing content out at a regular rate.
Well guess what? YouTube has something called Single Video Promotion, which is basically jail for a new creator. Until you hit a certain level of trust, YouTube will only show one of your videos to potential audiences at a time.
The real world results of this?
DRE - Tarot, 110 views
DRE - MLM, 218 views
DRE - Ozempic, 187 views
DRE - Collagen, 221 views
DRE - Diatomaceous Earth, 208 views
DRE - Red Light, 129 views

There were clobbered by Chakras, Bottled Water, Recycling, Detox, Bossware, and Bossware (again).
So… I’m going to try something that you’re not supposed to do. I’m going to re-release a low performer. I’ll probably add some content and improve the editing to make sure it’s different enough from the original posting.
I’m curious to see what happens. Want to place any bets?
